Since 2006, we have been successfully using EGroupware in our administration. Initially, our usage started with about 70 employees, but the number of active users has since grown to 240, including 100 functional users. Typically, 100 employees work simultaneously with the system. Our flat-rate contract covers usage seamlessly.

EGroupware forms the foundation of our daily workflows. It efficiently supports us in managing appointments, contacts, tasks, and emails. The centralized user management, as well as the management of appointments and email inboxes, is particularly valued. Since 2024, reliable email archiving through the Benno Mailarchiv has also been included.

We chose EGroupware due to its cost-effective, user-friendly, and scalable software solution that meets our requirements. It allows for mobile device integration and seamless integration into our existing systems. After 12 years of using the self-hosted Community Edition, we transitioned to the EGroupware Cloud in 2018 and migrated our email accounts there in 2020. As our workforce grew, so did the range of features we used, including video conferencing via BBBserver.de, Collabora Online for browser-based document editing, as well as additional storage and functional mailboxes for various areas of our administration.

When the staff council needed an independent platform for voting, EGroupware quickly provided a separate, isolated instance. Additionally, two years ago, we moved our Joomla website to the data center of EGroupware GmbH. The swift, straightforward support for upgrading our Joomla site to PHP 8 exemplifies the excellent all-around service.
