Full integration into other EGroupware applications

The EGroupware email client is optimally linked with the other applications such as calendar, address book, task management and file manager.

Multiple email accounts possible

The email client, as a very frequently used application, allows you to integrate several email accounts. You can access your emails via the web browser as well as via your mobile phone and are thus always informed about the current status of your communication.

Interaction with other applications

With the integration into the file manager, you can easily attach files from the internal file management to an email. You do not have to upload the attachments from your local hard disk first. The simple filing of emails in the task management makes it possible to link the information directly to the sender. You thus use EGroupware as a central source of information for your digital office.

Sending large files via sharing links

You can send large files via a sharing link or share a directory and get a data exchange directory where external files can be uploaded again.

Signatures and out-of-office messages

With the EGroupware mail client, you can create individual signatures, manage your own filter rules, edit email forwarding and create out-of-office messages in addition to a global corporate signature.

Folder-level approvals for your colleagues

It is particularly easy to manage the release of subfolders for your colleagues or to set holiday or absence notifications. As an administrator, you can also activate absence notifications for a colleague if he or she is no longer able to do so, e.g. due to illness.

Email encryption

EGroupware supports the encryption of emails both via PGP (storage of the keys in the browser) and via S/MIME. With S/MIME, the keys are stored centrally in EGroupware – the public key in the address book and the private key in the user’s mail profile.

Mark as spam

With the integration of SpamTitan in EGroupware, hosting customers can blacklist or whitelist email addresses and mark emails as spam or ham directly from the email module. Thus, the filter learns and reduces the number of unwanted emails.

Manage email servers and accounts

In the EGroupware Cloud, in the Univention Coperate Server (UCS) or via our EGroupware mail server packages (Dovecot) we have implemented a complete email account management. Each user is automatically assigned an email account. Management of email aliases, forwarding, storage space size or access rights are done directly in EGroupware. In addition, you can easily integrate shared email accounts for a department, such as an office or info mailbox.

Rights management and administration

Simplify the administration for your organisation considerably by only having to create a new user, who then automatically has his or her own email account in addition to access to EGroupware. Signature management is also possible centrally and displays the respective data of the user via placeholders. Via the rights management, you have full control at all times over who has access to the account without having to pass on access data.
