Think of eGroupWare as a joint venture of voluteers all across the Globe. eGroupWare is no company, nobody owns it. So eGroupWare is the sum of the active volunteers helping on the differet tasks which are necessary to provide the best groupware available, completely based on free and open sources. This is what we call "community"

Our Community is multi cultured, and multi gifted. There are developers, doc-wirters, artists and any other kind of opensource addicted people. Anybody who activly helps, that eGroupWare grows is part of the community.
The eGroupWare community is independent
It's not the community of some person's or company's project. Therefore the community doesn't work for a person or company but for the project itselve!
The eGroupWare community is democratic
The community elects admins, who are responsible for administrative tasks for a certain period of time. Moreover important desicions are made by votes from all active community members.
The eGroupWare community is joinable
Needles to say: eGroupWare depends on volunteers all over the Globe. Anybody, willing to help is more than welcome.
